Steamed Dumplings with Spicy Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

• Dumplings(frozen or homemade)

• Water(for steaming)

• Soy sauce

• Rice vinegar

• Chili oil

• Minced garlic

• Sugar

• Chopped cilantro(optional)


Prepare the Steamer:

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.Place a steamer basket over the pot,ensuring it does not touch the water.

Steam the Dumplings:

Arrange the dumplings in the steamer basket in a single layer,leaving some space between them to prevent sticking.

Cover the steamer and steam the dumplings over boiling water for about 10-12 minutes or until the dumpling wrappers become translucent and the filling is cooked through.

Make the Spicy Garlic Sauce:

In a small bowl,mix soy sauce,rice vinegar,chili oil,minced garlic,and a pinch of sugar.Adjust the quantities to taste.

Add chopped cilantro if desired.

Serve:

Carefully remove the dumplings from the steamer and transfer them to a serving plate.

Serve the steamed dumplings hot with the spicy garlic sauce on the side.
